Jose Armando's Statement on Pope Benedict XVI's Death

JOSE ARMANDO AS A CATHOLIC -- It is to much sadness that I was informed on the death of His Holiness, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Me and the billion Catholics around the world are mourning and remembering Benedict XVI.

Father Joseph Ratzinger has dedicated his life in service to Christ from the time when the Nazis took over Germany to the division of his home country and serving as one of the best theologians in the time. Ratzinger contributed a lot during the Vatican II Council era and also defending the faith while serving as Archbishop and Cardinal from Munich.

In 2005, after the death of Saint Pope John Paul II, the once known Ratzinger became the one and only, Benedict XVI where he inspired Catholics around the world to follow Christ. Later on in 2013, Pope Benedict XVI was the first pope in centuries to resign due to his health. Even outside his papacy, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has always shown his love to the church and his pledge to protect the church.
